Google and Asus for a Nexus 7 sequel?

Despite the accepted idea that sequels are often just a disappointment, Google are hoping to avoid such fate by producing a follow up to the incredibly popular Nexus 7 tablet. The tablet is set to be announced this May.

The previous Nexus 7 was a huge success, hoping to surpass sales of 6 million units sold by the end of January. The overall plan for the second Nexus 7 will focus around the same budget price point, but with improved specs. Android Jelly Bean will still be found on the device, which begs the question, is it really worth it?

The problem with producing a second Nexus is that the first one was actually really good, so is the upgrade a little premature? Usually this type of behaviour is associated with Apple products, in which it feels like a feature is deliberately left out of a device so a new one can be released less than 6 months later. Admittedly, it has been a while since the first Nexus 7, but still, what can the second version bring that will cause us normal folk to upgrade?

The increased specs will give some Nexus fans hope, but is that really enough for people to upgrade? I guess we will have to see. I suppose the beauty of the Nexus 7 is that it's so damn cheap you could buy the second one and sell your original Nexus for a lower price?

So Nexus 7 fans, would you upgrade? Or live with what you have?
