The Archives!

Nobody cares how quickly you find Wally.

As I'm sure you are aware, Where's Wally is a sort of Puzzle in which the challenge involves spotting this stripy character in a busy scene. Despite the fact it is a challenge aimed mainly for children, the Where's Wally Facebook page often lights up my news feed with that little something that stops my brain from just zoning out and scrolling.

What really annoys me though, is the bragging rights that people seem to assume they have after they have found Wally.

Exhibit A:

Rant, facebook comments, trolling, where's wally

Exhibit B:

So there are 3 major things that annoy me here, and luckily, they were all put in 3 consecutive comments. Firstly, Literally nobody will ever care how quickly it took to find Wally. Chances are, he is lying anyway which makes it even worse, but of course this person is clearly very clever (I mean, who else can find Wally in one second?) The answer appears to be everybody, look at the comments yourself and the whole world seems to be doing it.
Secondly, That's just fucking ridiculous, unless you have some retina display 5" phone screen, chances are Wally will occupy about 2 pixels, so the likelihood of that being true is just zero. Which again is made worse by the fact somebody bothered to lie about it.
Finally, just in case I wasn't pissed off enough already, for those normal folk who are taking a fair few seconds to find him, these horrible people decide to tell me where he is. Great.

These three people combine to basically destroy that little bit of fun that Facebook gives me. So thanks.

What really annoys me though is how they obviously feel that they deserve these bragging rights, or that their internet popularity will somehow increase tenfold, you can just picture it now.

"Oh, I better like this guys status, he found Wally in less than 1 second on a phone screen!"

Well, on behalf of the minority of normal people, we simply do not care.
