Lets print the world we want to live in.
If you have been keeping up with what I've been posting lately, you may have seen my article about the world wasting it's time by funding stupid technological advancements. (Feeling left out? Never mind, click here to view it)
To cut a long story short I basically just talked about the fact that maybe our research and development time should go towards something a little more useful. This post is a prime example of what I was rambling on about.
Over the years, 3D printing has become increasingly popular, what first started out as a crazy concept is now quite a common practice. Although the whole idea seems like a minor miracle to the majority of people, it really is amazing when we look at the future prospects for this technology.

Now you might currently be thinking "why the hell has he just posted a random building, that's just crazy!!!"
Firstly, if you were thinking anything close to that, I simply commend your enthusiasm, and secondly, the building is a lot more significant than you may believe.
This building is actually going to be the first building to be built entirely using 3D printing. The general idea is that every part will be printed and then over a period of a year and a half, they will be assembled. The best part of this however is the fact that it could arrive in 2014! Not bad I think we'll all agree.
The second amazing bit about this whole concept is that the building isn't some 1 bedroom council house that has been built to give whoever is staying in it the shittest time of their life, but it's actually a very well designed building, at least, I think it is, do you?
So, what I'm really saying is that 3D printed buildings are actually coming, and over the years we may see more and more of them appearing, this opens up a whole new era of architecture and maybe if we can make these buildings cheaply, affordable housing could literally be printed onto our streets.
